Instructions for the Bow Pins:
Cut off a section of duc_ tape that is 12" or longer. Fold the tape
onto itself so the final piece is the same length, just 1/2 the width
and non-sticky on both sides. Fold this strip in half and arrange each
side to be a slight bit apart from the other. This is the bottom of the
ribbon. Hold the folded end in place and trip the bottom edges at a
slight angle to look like the picture.
Cut off a section of duc_ tape that is 12" or longer. Fold the tape
onto itself so the final piece is the same length, just 1/2 the width
and non-sticky on both sides. Trim this strip to a final length of 11".
Lay the strip flat so that it is wide. Take both outside ends and fold
them towards the center overlapping by 3/4". Glue at the center. First
the bottom to middle and then the middle to top layer.
Cut off a section of duc_ tape that is 5" or longer.
Fold the tape onto itself so the final piece is the same length,
just 1/2 the width and non-sticky on both sides. Trim this strip to a
final length of 3". Wrap this strip around the center of the bow just
created and glue together on the back side. You will need to crimp the
center tightly to get a gathering effect at the center.
Instructions for the Ribbon Pins:
Cut off a section of duc_ tape that is 12" or longer. Fold the tape
onto itself so the final piece is the same length, just 1/2 the width
and non-sticky on both sides. Trim this strip to a final length of 11".
Fold the strip in half. At 3/4" on either side of halfway, fold the
outside length forward at a 45 degree angle on the top edge. Of the two
sides that fold forwards, one will layer on top and the other beneath.
Turn the folded ribbon over and hot glue (low temp and adult
supervision) a clasping pin to the back. Your ribbon pin is now ready to
show off proudly.
